The Digital Solution Specialist - Cloud & AI is a customer‑facing technical and strategic seller responsible for driving Azure and AI solution adoption across Small, Medium, and Corporate (SME&C) customers in the Swiss market. This role combines cloud architecture expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to translate business challenges into actionable AI‑powered solutions. The Solution Specialist partners closely with Account Executives, Customer Success, and the broader Microsoft v‑team to land AI transformation programs and accelerate cloud consumption.

This role is critical to helping SME&C customers modernize, innovate, and adopt Cloud and AI responsibly. You are the technical driver of cloud transformation and the key contributor to Microsoft's growth in one of its largest and most dynamic customer segments.



Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Solution Leadership

  • Act as the primary Azure & AI expert for SME&C customers, leading technical conversations and value‑based engagements.
  • Diagnose customer challenges, identify modernization and AI opportunities, and shape solution architectures aligned to Microsoft Cloud.
  • Drive executive‑level discussions on AI adoption, cloud strategy, data estate modernization, security posture, and digital transformation.
  • Lead customer envisioning sessions, workshops, and POCs to demonstrate business impact.

Sales & Business Impact

  • Own the Azure/AI and cloud modernization solution sales cycle, from discovery to close, partnering with the Account Team on strategy, deal qualification, and forecast accuracy.
  • Create and progress a healthy pipeline aligned with quarterly targets for Azure Consumed Revenue (ACR), new workload adoption, and AI deployment.
  • Collaborate with partners to co‑sell and accelerate customer wins through ecosystem capabilities.

Technical Leadership & AI Advocacy

  • Ensure the development of secure, scalable solutions leveraging Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, data platform, infrastructure, analytics, app modernization, and cloud‑native architectures.
  • Help customers adopt Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, agent‑based solutions, and frontier AI scenarios where relevant.
  • Provide thought leadership on responsible AI, governance, and data security in alignment with Microsoft's principles.

Cross‑Functional Teaming

  • Orchestrate Microsoft and Partner technical experts, ensuring the right resources land at the right time.
  • Partner with Customer Success to accelerate deployment, remove blockers, and ensure long‑term customer value realization.
  • Share insights from the field to influence product roadmaps and segment strategy.

Customer Success & Adoption

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Data/AI, and Business Decision Makers.
  • Guide customers from experimentation to production‑grade AI, ensuring safe, governed, and measurable adoption of Microsoft technologies.
  • Support customers in developing AI roadmaps, governance frameworks, and value tracking models.


Qualifications

Required

  • Fluent German is essential.
  • Strong sales experience and business acumen with a track record of sales success.
  • Strong experience in cloud technologies, data platforms, AI/ML, and/or application modernization.
  • Proven ability to lead technical sales cycles and influence senior decision‑makers.
  • Understanding of AI model lifecycle, prompt engineering, responsible AI, and data governance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics.

Preferred

  • Experience with one or more: Azure Infrastructure, AI and Data Services as well as industry Cloud Platforms.
  • Exposure to M365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, and agent‑based AI workloads.
  • Industry experience working with SME, Corporate, or mid‑market organizations.
  • Fluent French is an advantage.
