DeustoTech - Deusto Institute of Technology (http://deustotech.deusto.es/) es el centro de investigación tecnológica de la Universidad de Deusto, ubicado en el campus de Bilbao, cuya misión es promover la investigación, la formación y la transferencia de conocimiento al servicio de la sociedad y la industria.

Con el rápido crecimiento del sector del almacenamiento de energía, las tecnologías de baterías de próxima generación exigen métodos innovadores para recopilar información valiosa de las celdas de batería in operando de forma no destructiva. Para abordar este problema, el/la candidato/a seleccionado/a llevará a cabo investigaciones en la intersección de la Inteligencia Artificial, las tecnologías ultrasónicas y las baterías. En particular, primero participará en la aplicación de tecnologías ultrasónicas sin contacto a celdas de batería reales, como técnicas novedosas, no invasivas y rápidas para recopilar datos in operando para la caracterización y el ensayo de celdas de batería. En segundo lugar, el/la candidato/a desarrollará métodos de Inteligencia Artificial que puedan aprovechar estos datos para asistir en etapas clave de la línea de fabricación o incluso al final de su vida útil para la clasificación antes del reciclaje.

Ofrecemos la oportunidad de trabajar en un tema de investigación emergente y de alto impacto, tendiendo un puente entre la generación de conocimiento científico y las aplicaciones industriales. Los hallazgos y resultados previstos se difundirán activamente a través de conferencias, seminarios y reuniones de consorcios, tanto a nivel nacional como internacional, así como mediante publicaciones en revistas científicas de alto impacto.

DeustoTech - Deusto Institute of Technology (http://deustotech.deusto.es/) is the technological research centre of the University of Deusto, located on the Bilbao campus, whose mission is to promote research, training and knowledge transfer at the service of society and industry.

With the rapid growth of the energy storage sector, next-generation battery technologies demand innovative methods to collect valuable information from battery cells in operando in a non-destructive way. To address this problem, the selected candidate will perform research at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, ultrasonic technologies and batteries. In particular, she/he will first participate in the application of non-contact ultrasonic technologies to actual battery cells, as novel non-invasive and fast techniques to collect in operando data for battery cell characterisation and testing. Second, the candidate will develop Artificial Intelligence methods that can leverage these data to assist at key stages of the manufacturing line or even at end-of-life for sorting before recycling.

We offer the opportunity to work on an emerging and high-impact research topic, bridging scientific knowledge generation with industrial applications. The expected findings and results will be actively disseminated through conferences, seminars, and consortium meetings, both nationally and internationally, as well as through publications in high-impact scientific journals.
