To lead the newly established Direct Tax Centre of Excellence (COE) in Krakow, responsible for managing and harmonizing global direct tax accounting, reporting, and transfer pricing operational activities. The role will ensure compliance with international reporting standards, in particular IAS 12, drive process efficiency, drive transfer pricing operational activities in documentation and audits and support the transition of operational activities from operating companies (OpCos) to HBS.


Your responsibilities would include:

Overseeing monthly and quarterly review of OpCo tax reporting, incl. ETRs, tax on exceptional items, tax on OCI, and cash tax
Preparing and review tax notes (IAS 12) for financial statements
Coordinating preparation of total tax contribution surveys
Leading preparation of OECD CBC, Pillar 2 GIIR, and public CBC disclosures
Overseeing the preparation and timely filing of transfer pricing documentation (Master File, Local Files, and CbCR) in line with OECD and local requirements, and coordinating with OpCo tax teams for local compliance. Proactively managing and preparing for TP audits, including risk assessment, data gathering, and direct interaction with colleagues in various jurisdictions.
Preparing Dutch tax forecasting, supporting with Dutch head office tax accounting and calculations for Dutch tax return, incl. improvement and automation of current excel models
Supporting with withholding tax process improvement
Driving harmonisation of tax accounting processes across OpCos
Developing and implement standard audit files for TP audits
Gathering, structure, and analyse tax and transfer pricing data in a standardised and automated way, leveraging AI solutions where possible. Driving automation and standardization.
Supporting and developing junior team members in HBS

You are a good match if you have:

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field; strong knowledge of IAS 12, direct tax, and transfer pricing
Professional tax/accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CTA, CPA)
Significant experience (7+ years) in direct tax accounting/reporting and transfer pricing, preferably in a multinational environment
Experience in process harmonisation, shared service centre operations, and automation projects
Technical knowledge of direct tax and transfer pricing
Excellent analytical and data management skills
Project management and process improvement mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to lead and develop a team
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
