POSITION SUMMARY / MISSION The Principal Investigator, Project Leader leads scientific strategy and execution for a discovery or development project, integrating biology, chemistry, translational, and clinical inputs to advance assets through key milestones. The role frames hypotheses, designs experiments, interprets data, and guides cross-functional teams to make decisive, data-driven choices. This position fosters scientific excellence, collaboration, and external visibility through publications and conferences while ensuring robust documentation, IP awareness, and compliance with EHS and ethical standards. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES • Define scientific strategy and deliverables for assigned project(s); maintain clear objectives and go/no-go criteria. • Design and oversee experimental plans; interpret results and steer decision making. • Lead cross-functional teams (e.g., biology, chemistry, DMPK, tox, CMC) and manage external collaborations. • Present findings to governance; maintain rigorous documentation and data integrity. • Contribute to publications, patents, and scientific engagement with KOLs and partners. • Manage budgets/timelines; identify risks and implement mitigations. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • PhD in a relevant scientific discipline with strong postdoctoral/industry experience. • 6-8+ years in drug discovery/development with demonstrated project leadership. • Track record of impactful scientific contributions and cross-functional collaboration. • Strong communication, data interpretation, and strategic thinking skills. PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES • Experience progressing assets through IND-enabling and early clinical stages. • Publications and conference presence in relevant therapeutic area. • Experience managing CROs/academic collaborations.Discovery Project Leader -responsible in building the scientific breakthrough for novel therapeutic treatments and leading cross-functional teams
