Job Description:

An opportunity for a Safety Technician has arisen within Airbus Operations, Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Team. Our department is a strategic partner in ensuring that all industrial operations are carried out under the highest safety standards. You will join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to protecting our most valuable asset: our people. Your role will be key in bridging the gap between EHS regulations and shopfloor operations, ensuring a safe and sustainable workplace for everyone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

Support local management in ensuring adequate risk controls and overseeing the effective investigation of work-related incidents (from near-misses to environmental issues).
Promote EHS culture across all levels of the organization, from senior management to workshop staff, through awareness campaigns and safety initiations.
Coordinate and ensure the availability of relevant EHS training to maintain high safety standards and compliance.
Represent the EHS function in local meetings with management, workshop representatives, and trade unions.
Monitor industrial processes to ensure they align with national laws, safety regulations, and internal Airbus protocols.
Act as a specialist advisor on-site, requesting additional expert support when complex safety challenges arise.

SKILLS

Education: Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Certification: Mandatory Postgraduate/Master in Labor Risk Prevention (PRL) covering the three specialties.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in Occupational Health and Safety, ideally within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Soft skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence different stakeholders and work effectively in a multicultural team.
Languages: Negotiation level of English and Spanish is required.
Technical knowledge: Solid understanding of industrial processes and deep knowledge of national EHS laws and regulations.
