Requisitos

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience managing MEP aspects of building or infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical engineering and good awareness of other disciplines involved in multidisciplinary design.
  • Relevant experience in Building Services design, including specification writing, calculations, and design development in compliance with national/international standards.
  • Proven collaboration experience with multidisciplinary teams, both nationally and internationally.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively in written reports and oral presentations.
  • Experience in construction environments and managing interfaces with contractors and consultants.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work proactively and independently.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting business development activities or proposal preparation.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with international clients or cross-border project environments.

Job Description

AECOM Spain Building Engineering team is a highly qualified group of professionals, experts in offering the best solutions to international client's needs all around the world.

Our building services engineers are at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical, public health, fire suppression and telecom systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM), energy modelling and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.

Our team, as part of the continued growth of our business, is looking to hire an inspirational Project Manager (Engineering background) to work closely with clients and deliver upstanding construction projects.

For a successful performance in the role, you will need a strong technical knowledge in MEP engineering and previous experience of delivering large projects from concept design all the way through to tender and construction stage.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Project & Technical Leadership

  • Lead teams of engineers and technical specialists to ensure high‑quality technical delivery on major building and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide competent leadership in reviewing, approving, and delivering engineering solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the client and AECOM, maintaining and strengthening relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee all day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring alignment with the project mission, goals, and quality standards.
  • Project Planning and Delivery

  • Plan and schedule project activities in coordination with the Planning Engineer, ensuring alignment with the Master Programme.
  • Lead resource planning and allocation for project delivery.
  • Manage and coordinate bidding opportunities and lead the technical team from feasibility through to handover.
  • Identify design changes and support the Commercial Manager with technical justification and documentation.
  • Act as the main point of contact for MEP coordination within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Quality, Standards & Client Development

  • Ensure financial targets and internal KPIs are met, motivating others to contribute toward collective success.
  • Prepare and present designs, technical reports, specifications, and documentation packages.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of AECOM's technical standards.
  • Strengthen client and architect relationships to support future business growth.
  • Act as a mentor to junior staff and promote ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain and enhance technical expertise both individually and within the team.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
