Role

As an AI Project & Product Manager, you are the connective tissue between a high-velocity engineering team and key business stakeholders. You operate at the intersection of technology and business, ensuring that AI solutions are not only technically sound but also business relevant and operationally viable. You will report directly to the Head of Digital Transformation, working closely to ensure all AI initiatives are seamlessly integrated into the organization's broader strategic roadmap.

You will focus on orchestrating delivery, aligning stakeholders, and maintaining a strong project cadence. While you won't write code, you will actively engage in technical discussions with Infrastructure, Architecture and Security teams, challenge assumptions, and ensure that AI & Data engineering decisions are grounded in real-world business needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary interface between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment on goals, scope, and priorities
• Translate business needs into structured product and project requirements
• Challenge and validate technical decisions to ensure feasibility, scalability, and business impact
• Protect engineering teams from ad-hoc requests and scope creep, maintaining focus and delivery velocity
• Own and manage the project "heartbeat" (planning, prioritization, resource management, progress tracking, and reporting)
• Drive delivery for the entire AI product lifecycle (PoC, MVP, Production), ensuring robustness and scalability of AI solutions
• Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams, including IT, Business and external stakeholders
• Identify risks early and proactively manage dependencies and trade-offs
• Ensure continuous alignment between product vision and execution

1. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

• Proven ability to operate in cross-functional environments
• Experience managing senior stakeholders and aligning diverse perspectives
• Strong facilitation skills to lead workshops, steer discussions, and resolve conflicts
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including executive-level reporting
• Ability to influence without authority and build trust across technical and business teams

2. Technical & AI/ML Understanding

• Strong technical foundation with the ability to challenge engineering decisions constructively
• Solid understanding of the machine learning streams (data exploration, development, validation, deployment, monitoring) and AI project lifecycle requirements (PoC, MVP, production)
• Familiarity with production AI challenges (data quality, model drift, scalability, latency)
• Ability to translate complex technical trade-offs into clear business implications
• Ability to connect model performance metrics to business KPIs

3. Product & Delivery Excellence

• Proven track record of delivering AI/ML or data-driven products from prototype to production
• Strong product mindset with the ability to define vision, value propositions, and success metrics
• Experience prioritizing initiatives based on business impact and technical feasibility
• Ability to manage ambiguity and drive execution in complex environments
• Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, backlog management, and delivery cadence

4. Operational & Organizational Strength

• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
• Experience managing timelines, dependencies, and risks across multiple workstreams
• Ability to protect team focus while maintaining responsiveness to stakeholders
• Experience establishing efficient processes that balance speed and quality

5. Contextual Plus

• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in project management, 3-4 years of experience in AI.
• Academic Background: Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Domain Expertise (Preferred): Exposure to formulation, chemistry or the Fragrance & Flavor industry.
• Languages: Full professional proficiency in English; French is strongly preferred.
