About the role:

As a Financial Controller you work closely with finance and business management for your scope. You not only play a critical role in supporting key management decisions (translating business topics of a broad scope into financials and challenge them). You are also responsible for financial planning, reporting and analysis based on business information. You build scalable, automated, refreshable reporting that eliminates manual steps in finance processes. You are in regular contact with other finance colleagues: the local & global accounting team, other controllers, the billing and invoicing teams, and have intensive interaction with the business managers. Combination of this is key to be successful in this function.

The activities in the team result in a very dynamic working environment, taking up different challenges, close to the heart of the company and with a good balance between routine operations and ad hoc work.

You are part of our global finance team and report to the SAP Solutions lead controller.

Your main areas of responsibility are:

· Automate reporting and way of working to reduce manual work and increase efficiency

· Initiate continuous improvement of processes

· Be the finance SPOC and the finance key person for your scope by helping the business to translate strategic decisions in financials and use the financials to help steer in the right direction

· Prepare monthly management reports

· Forecast and budget cycles

· Perform monthly analysis and challenge the financials, in comparison with budget, forecast & previous year as well as historical trends

· Interact with local accounting and billing/invoicing teams

· Provide ad hoc analysis e.g. business cases to support management with decision-making

· Participating in local and global initiatives, this may request occasional travel

Profile

· Master degree in Economics, Accounting, Corporate Finance or similar

· You have +4 years of relevant working experience within finance, a first controlling experience is a plus

· You are pro-active, have a critical mindset and a hands-on attitude

· You are energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence

· You have strong communication & problem-solving skills

· You are eager to learn

· You are fluent in spoken and written English

· You have technical strong skills in Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, ...) and experience building automated reporting

· You have proven experience of automating reports and processes

· Knowledge of SAP4Hana, SAP Analytics Cloud and Power BI is a plus

· You are energetic, highly motivated, with an enquiring mind and passion for excellence
