What do we do?

We are looking for an Employee Experience Specialist to join the People team and lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of initiatives that enhance the overall employee journey at Exoticca.

This role goes beyond office operations - it is about creating meaningful moments, fostering connection, and building a culture where employees feel engaged, motivated, and proud to belong.

You will be responsible for driving internal engagement initiatives, organizing company-wide events, and promoting wellbeing and connection through sports and community-based activities (e.g., running clubs, paddle or football teams, wellness initiatives, and team-building experiences).

Ultimately, your mission will be to ensure that Exoticca is not just a workplace, but an environment where people thrive.

Responsibilities

Employee Experience & Engagement:

    • Design and execute the Employee Experience strategy aligned with company culture and values.
    • Create initiatives that strengthen engagement, belonging, and cross-team collaboration.
    • Continuously assess the employee journey (onboarding, milestones, celebrations, recognition moments) and propose improvements.
    • Partner with HR to ensure a seamless and memorable onboarding experience.

Internal Events & Cultural Initiatives:

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute internal events such as company parties, town halls, celebrations, offsites, and conferences.
    • Develop creative cultural initiatives that reinforce company values and community spirit.
    • Manage event budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality execution.

Sports, Wellbeing & Community Building:

    • Lead and promote sports and wellness initiatives (e.g., running clubs, paddle clubs, football teams, fitness challenges).
    • Organize internal and external sports events that foster team spirit and healthy lifestyles.
    • Encourage cross-functional participation and create inclusive activities for diverse interests.
    • Explore new formats to enhance physical, emotional, and social wellbeing at work.

Workplace Experience:

    • Ensure the office environment reflects the company culture and supports collaboration and productivity.
    • Coordinate with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to maintain an inspiring, functional, and welcoming workspace.
    • Act as a point of contact for employee experience-related feedback and suggestions.
    • Oversee office-related budget (G&A) related to experience initiatives and workplace environment.

Communication & Feedback:

    • Collaborate with Internal Communications to promote initiatives and increase participation.
    • Gather employee feedback and measure engagement impact (surveys, participation rates, sentiment analysis).
    • Proactively suggest improvements based on data and employee insights.

Requirements

    • Proven experience in Employee Experience, Internal Communications, Office Management, Culture & Engagement, or similar roles.
    • Strong event management experience (corporate events, team-building activities, sports initiatives, etc.).
    • Passion for creating meaningful employee experiences and fostering workplace culture.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and creative mindset.
    • Experience managing budgets and vendor negotiations.
    • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, international environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
    • Proficiency in Google Suite / MS Office.
