Senior Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Senior Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our company. Your essential duties will be overseeing our accounting operations, managing our financial records, preparing necessary financial reports, and serving as a key contact for external auditors.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.
• Responsible for month-end and year-end closing of the general ledger.
• Coordinate, prepare, and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Coordinate activities of external auditors.
• Evaluate accounting and internal control systems.
• Develop and monitor business performance metrics.
• Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.
• Assist in the company's budget and forecasts.
• Handle personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Advance degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CMA, CGA) is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior financial management role, within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Strong analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
