Senior React Native Engineer

Hevy is looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join our team in Barcelona.

In this role, you'll help design, build, and scale our mobile apps. You'll tackle complex engineering challenges, improve system performance, and collaborate closely with product managers and designers to shape the future of Hevy.

We're a small, fast-moving team supporting millions of users, so your work will have a meaningful impact on both our product and our users. You'll build at scale across iOS and Android, ensuring the app remains robust and high-performing as we continue to grow.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to the development of our React Native app across iOS and Android

• Build scalable, maintainable solutions and improve performance and reliability

• Take ownership of features and projects from implementation through to delivery

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineers

• Support and learn from teammates through code reviews and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience building React Native mobile apps

• Strong understanding of at least one native platform (iOS or Android)

• Solid problem-solving skills and experience working on non-trivial engineering challenges

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Bonus: A passion for weightlifting, calisthenics, or fitness
