Coruña British International School is a highly distinguished British international school the first in the city to gain NABSS (National Association for British Schools in Spain) accreditation. The school's curriculum has been fully approved by both the Galician Government and the British Council, and is considered to be, alongside its sister school in Vigo, one of the foremost British schools in the Galicia region. Founded more than 8 years ago this progressive school with strong family values has delivered the English National Curriculum to hundreds of students and has evolved to meet the needs of modern learners. Students aged three to 14 attend the school and follow the National English Early Years Framework and the English National Curriculum.

We wish to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic Secondary English Teacher:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in English, English Literature, Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an internationally recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.
- Proven experience teaching English Language and/or English Literature at secondary level, ideally within a British or international school context.
- Strong understanding of UK curriculum expectations, including KS3-KS4 English (and preferably KS5).
- Ability to deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that support reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills.
- Experience using assessment for learning, progress tracking, and providing clear, effective feedback to students.
- Confidence in supporting learners with varying levels of English, including EAL students, through differentiation and scaffolding.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
